In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Docter shared some intriguing details about the upcoming series. “We have finished. It’s coming out next spring. I’m not sure that there’s been a specific release date,” said Docter. Reflecting on the scene from the first film, where viewers visit Dream Production to explore how Riley’s dreams are crafted, Docter explained the spinoff will continue to unravel the curious nature of dreams. “We’ve continued the exploration of the power of dreams and how they affect us in our waking life, as well. So it’s pretty cool.”

This announcement arrives on the heels of the monumental success of *Inside Out 2*, which has shattered box office records worldwide. Garnering $154.2M domestically, it stands as the second-biggest animated opening of all time and the second-largest debut for Pixar. On the global stage, it achieved a whopping $295M during its opening weekend, setting new benchmarks for animated films.

The sequel saw the return of fan-favorite Amy Poehler as Joy, alongside Phyllis Smith, Lewis Black, Diane Lane, and Kyle MacLachlan. New voices added to this enchanting universe include Maya Hawke, Tony Hale, Ayo Edebiri, and many more.
