Hold onto your Mickey ears, Disney and Marvel fans! Big changes are in store for your future movie marathons. Fresh off the heels of incredible revelations at Comic-Con, Disney and Marvel Studios have shuffled their release schedules, adding exciting new titles and even morphing some dates for our highly-anticipated favorites.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney has slotted two Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) films for 2027. Circle your calendars for July 23 and November 5, 2027! These new entries will follow the grand finale of “Avengers: Secret Wars,” ushering in a new era of Marvel storytelling. Adding more intrigue, a previously scheduled Marvel film for July 24, 2026, has been nixed without much explanation, leaving fans speculating about what’s next.
And speaking of mysteries, the reboot of “Blade,” currently holding onto a November 7, 2025, release date, remains a tantalizing enigma. With no director and most of the cast still a mystery, this film seems like a surprise package waiting to be unwrapped. Additionally, fans of “Armor Wars,” originally designed as a Disney+ series, still await further details about its movie adaptation.
Pixar is also joining the 2027 extravaganza with a new film set for June 18, and Disney Animation promises a delight on November 24. To top it all off, a yet-to-be-titled Star Wars film will close out the fantastical year on December 17.
