Disney has shuffled its movie release schedule, creating a buzz in the industry. A Marvel Studios title slated for July 24, 2026, has been removed. Additionally, the limited release of “A Real Pain,” directed by Jesse Eisenberg and starring Kieran Culkin, has been postponed from October 18 to November 1. Initially acquired by Searchlight Pictures at Sundance, this film’s new release date highlights Disney’s strategic adjustments.
Notably, Marvel Studios’ “Blade” remains set for release on November 7, 2025, despite the lack of a director. This news is particularly intriguing given the highly anticipated nature of the project.
In other scheduling updates, several Disney and Marvel titles have shifted. “Thunderbolts” is now the official title of the movie scheduled for May 2, 2025. “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” is the updated title for “The Fantastic Four,” scheduled for July 25, 2025. Some untitled Disney movies have also seen changes, with new dates stretching into 2027, including updates for Pixar and Disney Animation projects.
Marvel fans have more to look forward to with the rebranded “Avengers: Doomsday,” previously titled “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty,” now set for May 1, 2026. These adjustments reflect Disney’s dynamic strategy in keeping its cinematic universe fresh and engaging.
