If there is one thing we’ve learned over the years, it’s that changes to the Marvel Studios movie slate are almost guaranteed. In a surprising twist, Disney has removed a previously slated Marvel Studios movie from the calendar—no, it’s not “Blade.” Fans were expecting “Blade’’s” fate to be uncertain, but the untitled Marvel film initially penciled in for July 24, 2026, has instead been axed.

Disney has yet to clarify what this project was, as it remained shrouded in mystery. However, the decision underscores Disney’s intention to scale back the MCU’s ambitious annual release schedule. Despite this adjustment, Disney will still dazzle fans with a roster of Marvel films for 2026, highlighting “Avengers: Doomsday” and two other untitled Marvel movies releasing on February 13 and November 6, 2026.

Meanwhile, “Blade” remains firmly planted on the calendar with a release date set for November 7, 2025. The film, starring Mahershala Ali, has faced numerous hurdles, including lacking a director and being far from the start of shooting. While this might hint at another delay, Disney appears committed, perhaps optimistic that plans will solidify soon.

The hotly anticipated “Avengers 5” will now be known as “Avengers: Doomsday.” Despite the pressure, Marvel expects to meet the May 1, 2026, release date. With Robert Downey Jr. stepping in as Doctor Doom and the Russo Brothers helming the project, the film is poised to captivate audiences and reclaim the Marvel legacy on the big screen.
