I recently had the magical opportunity to attend an advanced screening of Disney’s highly anticipated live-action “Snow White.” Let me tell you, it was an experience that I shared with my family—my mom, my girl, and our daughter, who was adorably dressed as Snow White herself. The joy on my daughter’s face, especially during the musical segments, was absolutely heartwarming and a highlight of our evening.

Fans of Disney’s classic animation will find solace in knowing that this live-action adaptation stays largely true to its roots. However, there are a few tweaks here and there in the storyline, but nothing that strays too far from the beloved original. The main hiccup for me was the CGI dwarfs. While the special effects were top-notch, something about their depiction felt off, almost like they were missing a bit of their enchanting charm. Additionally, a few scenes felt like they were unnecessarily stretched, making the narrative feel a tad sluggish at times.

The performances, on the other hand, were stellar. Rachel Zegler as Snow White and Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen were nothing short of spectacular. They infused their roles with new life, adding depth and dimension to these iconic characters. For those of you who love a good musical, you’ll be pleased to hear the soundtrack is on point. Even as someone who isn’t the biggest fan of musicals, I found myself tapping along to the catchy tunes.

Even with its minor flaws, I’d rate “Snow White” a solid 6/10. It’s a delightful watch, especially if you have young ones who can experience the magic anew. The film hits theaters on March 21st, and if you loved the original or are a Disney enthusiast, it’s definitely worth checking out.

I’d love to hear what you think! Have you seen the film yet, or are you planning to? Share your thoughts in the comments below and feel free to spread the magic by sharing this story with fellow Disney fans.
