Disney fans, get ready to mark your calendars! Our beloved storytelling giant has officially unveiled a packed slate of new releases stretching all the way into 2027. With a whopping 11 untitled films joining the lineup, there’s plenty of magic in store for Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, and Disney Animation aficionados.
Prior to this mega announcement, 2027 was a pretty bare year on the Disney front, featuring only “Avengers: Secret Wars” set for May 27 and an untitled Star Wars film on December 17. But now, excitement abounds as two fresh untitled Marvel films are slated for July 23 and November 5, respectively. Not forgetting our animated favorites, Disney has plotted an untitled Pixar feature for June 18, and an untitled Disney Animation film for November 24, 2027.
And that’s not all! Several more mystery projects are on the horizon with dates lined up in February, March, April, May, August, September, and October of 2027. Disney is also making moves in the near term, with new film dates added for August 8 and September 12, 2025.
Additionally, some shuffling of dates and titles has occurred. “A Real Pain,” directed by and starring Jesse Eisenberg, has moved to November 1, 2024, from its original October 18 slot. Meanwhile, two untitled Disney projects have been bumped to August 7 and September 11, 2026, each moving up by a week. Alas, not all projects have survived unscathed; we bid farewell to an untitled Disney movie previously marked for March 7, 2025, and another Marvel film set for July 24, 2026.
In superhero news, keep an eye out for “Fantastic Four: The First Steps,” now aiming for a July 25, 2025, release, and “Avengers: Doomsday,” which is scheduled for May 1, 2026. Both updates were highlights of Marvel’s crowd-pleasing presentation at San Diego Comic-Con 2024.
Disney is certainly riding a wave of box-office success. Recently, “Deadpool & Wolverine” shattered records with the sixth-biggest opening weekend of all time, while “Inside Out 2” has effortlessly surpassed “Frozen 2” to become the highest-grossing animated film globally.
