Industry experts tip that “Inside Out 2” might soar close to $600 million, an impressive feat for an animated film.

Sony’s “Bad Boys: Ride or Die,” starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, continues its successful run. With a robust $5.3 million on its third Friday, the film is set for a commendable third weekend, hitting a total of $146.7 million. Focus Features’ “The Bikeriders” features performances by Austin Butler, Tom Hardy, and Jodie Comer. Opening at $4 million on Friday, the film is projected to approach $10 million.

Meanwhile, Vertical’s horror flick “The Exorcism” garners attention despite mixed reviews. The Russell Crowe thriller earned around $930K on Friday, with an expected weekend total of $2.2 million. Smaller releases like Magnolia’s heartwarming “Thelma,” starring June Squibb, are also making their marks, projected to bring in $1.9 million this weekend.

Adding to the weekend’s variety, Searchlight’s three-hour comedy “Kinds of Kindness,” featuring Emma Stone, is stealing the show in New York and LA. Expected to bring in $400K from just five theaters, it’s set to achieve one of the highest screen averages of the year.
