Disney dazzled attendees at CineEurope with sneak peeks of some of its most anticipated releases, including “Alien: Romulus,” “Marvel’s Thunderbolts,” and the highly anticipated “Deadpool & Wolverine.”

Riding high on the success of the recently released “Inside Out 2,” Disney’s global theatrical distribution head Tony Chambers revealed staggering box office numbers. The Pixar sequel shattered records with a global opening weekend of $295 million and continues to climb, now reaching a total of $380 million. This phenomenal success set an optimistic tone for Disney’s presentation.

Amidst the excitement, an extended scene from “Deadpool & Wolverine” had the audience buzzing. Ryan Reynolds, reprising his role as the irreverent Wade Wilson, surprised everyone with a message in full Deadpool attire. The scene depicted a quieter moment from Wade’s life with friends, a sight to behold, especially with original costumes on display and Reynolds’ Aviation Gin making an appearance.

“Alien: Romulus” was also in the spotlight with director Fede Álvarez introducing new footage that harkened back to the franchise’s horror roots. Slated for release on August 16, this film promises to revive the terror that made the original a classic.

Adding to the lineup, Disney showcased previews of their upcoming features including “Moana 2,” set to release in late November, complete with a live dance performance, and a sneak peek at “Mufasa: The Lion King” with Barry Jenkins expressing his excitement over casting Beyoncé and Blue Ivy Carter.

Looking ahead to 2025, attendees were treated to behind-the-scenes glimpses of Marvel’s “Thunderbolts,” the action-thriller “The Amateur” starring Rami Malek, and the live-action “Snow White” with Rachel Zegler. Brendan Fraser also sent a special shoutout from Japan where he’s filming “Rental Family.”
