Treat mom to a fun-filled day at Disneyland Resort, with plenty of delicious dining options to make the day extra special.
If you’re headed to Disneyland park, both Blue Bayou Restaurant and Carnation Café are adding a special dish just for mom’s day. Carnation Café is adding teriyaki honey grilled salmon with spinach orzo, and at Blue Bayou Restaurant, it’s a seafood pot pie with lobster, mahi, snow crab claws, English peas, carrots and potatoes.
Or start your day with Disney characters and brunch at Goofy’s Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotelwith a made-to-order omelet station, eggs Benedict and more. If you prefer dinner, there’s roasted chicken, salmon, pork loin and roasted turkey with all the delectable sides and sweets.
Another buffet option is at PCH Grill at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, where the day starts with Disney characters and a generous spread of breakfast goodies from Scottish salmon to roast chicken, chilaquiles with scrambled eggs, frittatas and more. Dinner (without Disney characters) includes a seafood station with shrimp Alfredo and littleneck clams; carving station with roast, ribs and steamed mussels; a mini-taco station; mac ‘n cheese bar; build-your-own salad and lots of seasonal desserts.
For a special end to Mother’s Day, make reservations for dinner at Steakhouse 55, where a three-course prix fixe dinner ($55) starts with lemon fettuccine with a pan-seared scallop, then filet mignon with lobster-whipped potatoes and spring vegetables and, for a sweet ending, chocolate-covered red velvet cake. Pair each course with wine and let mom relax.
