We’re celebrating the summer on the West Coast with tons of tasty new offerings at Disneyland Resort! From refreshing beverages and bites to an all-new buffet, read on to find out all the juicy details.
Ahoy, Mateys – there be new eats afloat in New Orleans Square! That’s right, for a limited time only, you’ll find a few new eats celebrating Pirates of the Caribbean in Disneyland park. At Blue Bayou Restaurant, in addition to the regular menu, there will be three new options through June 18. The first is the “Cursed Pirate” Fried Octopus & Calamari with andouille sausage, rum-soaked pineapple, haricot vert, and remoulade. The second dish is “Chicken Betty’s” Jidori Free Range Chicken with coconut rice, ham hock, maque choux, fried plantains, and a spiced rum glaze.
Redd’s Strawberry Cake rounds out the new items as a sponge cake soaked in strawberry compote syrup with candied strawberry, coconut Chantilly, and diced pineapple sautéed in brown sugar and vanilla bean.
Also, only until June 10, you can find two more special Pirates of the Caribbean-inspired offerings at Disneyland park – the Redd Velvet Cake at French Market Restaurant and the Golden Churro at the Churro Cart in New Orleans Square!
Let’s continue with a drink, shall we? If you’re staying at one of the hotels of the Disneyland Resort, then you can make a visit to one the many poolside bars for a refreshing beverage and a bite to eat. And just for Pixar Fest, there’s some amazing new beverages that you just have to try! At the Disneyland Hotel Pool Bar, you can get a taste of The Adventurer’s Spirit with tequila, orange juice, and grenadine, or the non-alcoholic Explorer Punch with pineapple juice, orange juice, lemon juice, passion fruit, guava, and grenadine. Order some Shrimp Tacos or an Island-style Hot Dog to go with it and you’ve got yourself a refreshing poolside pairing.
At the pool bar at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, you can try the Number 1 Fan with blueberry vodka, lemon juice, and strawberry syrup or the non-alcoholic Totally Wicked Punch with pineapple juice, pomegranate juice, soda water, and flavors of mango, guava, and ginger with a pineapple garnish. And while you’re sipping and sitting by the pool, why not snack on some Avocado Toast, House-Made Hummus, salads, sandwiches, or “Grand”-crafted Pizzas?
Catching some rays at the Sand Bar at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel? Then try the Forget-Me-Not with coconut rum, blue curaçao, piña colada mix, and whipped cream or the non-alcoholic Lucky Fin with blood orange syrup, orange juice, and nonfat yogurt. And while you’re there, why not snack on some sandwiches, flavored popcorn (dill, white cheddar, or butter), churros, or a Mickey-shaped pretzel!
Speaking of Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, there’s a brand-new dinner buffet experience coming to Disney’s PCH Grill. Starting on July 10, guests can feast on the new Calitalian Dinner Buffet. This All-You-Care-To-Enjoy Italian buffet features Italiano dishes with flavors from the Tuscan countryside. Build your own salad or choose from options such as Caprese Salad, Italian Panzanella Salad (with tomato, bread, cucumber, and pickled red onion), and Antipasto Salad or enjoy a warm soup like Italian Minestrone or Cream of Broccoli.
The hot station will have dishes such as Braised Lamb Osso Bucco, House-Made Italian Meatballs, Slow-Baked Lasagna Bolognese-Style, Grilled Salmon Filet, Eggplant Parmigiana, and more! Of course, what’s an Italian buffet without PASTA? Choose from spaghetti, penne, and macaroni with sauce options that include Bolognese, pesto cream, Alfredo, and Pomodoro sauce. The kiddos can enjoy Spaghetti with Turkey Meatballs, Grilled Hot Dogs, Steamed Corn on the Cob, Mac and Cheese, and Mozzarella Sticks.
Lastly, for dessert, satisfy your sweet tooth Tiramisù, Mini Verrines, pastries, Panna Cotta, Cannoli, or Italian Rum Cakes, just to name a few. But remember, these items are rotational and you never know what exciting new Italian eats you might find at Disney’s PCH Grill’s Calitalian Buffet!
So come on out, grab a friend and try these new eats! You won’t want to miss them.
