Recently, we had a chance to check out the “World of Color” Dessert Party. We were thrilled to be able to experience this new offering!
We checked in for the dessert party at 9 p.m. across from The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure in Disney California Adventure park for our 9:45 showing of “World of Color – Celebrate!” Our reserved section, which was located to the left of Carthay Circle Restaurant Dining Package viewing area, offered a spectacular view of Paradise Pier.
Once we were seated, our server offered a selection of beverages including champagne, sparkling cider, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and soft drinks. Delicious desserts, beautifully plated on china, included a selection of cheeses including Brie, mild cheddar and Manchego, accompanied by a bread basket, seedless green grapes, a Chocolate Mocha Bundt Cake, Mickey Coconut Macaroon, a waffle bowl with berries and lime-yogurt mousse, mini French macaron and my personal favorite, a Dulce de Leche-filled shortbread cookie. As you can see, we had the opportunity enjoy plenty of delectable treats. Tip: if you don’t finish your desserts, feel free to ask for a to-go box!
After a long day in the parks, it was wonderful to be able to sit back, relax and enjoy a breathtaking view of “World of Color – Celebrate!” with great company.
