Disney’s Cruise Line made its stunning debut at Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point in Eleuthera, Bahamas, on Friday, when Disney Magic arrived with its first batch of excited visitors. With crystal-clear waters and picturesque beaches, Lookout Cay promised a blend of relaxation and adventure. Visitors reveled in luxurious cabanas, thrilling waterparks, and delectable barbeque restaurants and bars, all meticulously designed to offer a magical Disney experience.

One of the highlights of Lookout Cay was the vibrant “Rush! A Junkanoo Celebration,” a parade brimming with popular Disney characters dressed in colorful Bahamian outfits. Set to the sounds of local Junkanoo music and children’s songs, the parade honored Bahamian culture with dancers in elaborate costumes bringing the beachside party to life.

Visitors were also thrilled by the island’s pristine beaches. From a sprawling family beach to a secluded adults-only coastline, Eleuthera Island offered ample space for sunbathers and swimmers alike. The white sand beaches and complimentary loungers lining the shores were perfect for those looking to unwind. For those seeking a bit more privacy, cabanas were available for rent, adding a touch of exclusivity to the beach experience.

Not to be outdone, the island boasted two exciting water play areas: Rush Out Gush Out and Sebastian’s Cove. The former featured water slides that parents and children could enjoy together, while the latter provided a safe space for kids to splash around under the watchful eyes of the resort staff.

Culinary delights were plentiful at Lookout Cay, with three main dining areas dishing out barbecue ribs, roast chicken, burgers, and more. True-True BBQ, True-True Too BBQ, and the adults-only Serenity Bay BBQ ensured no guest left hungry. A variety of plant-based options, grilled seafood, and irresistible desserts rounded out the menu. With drink bars scattered across the island and a dedicated coffee stall and smoothie bar, refreshing beverages were always within reach.

Despite the many highlights, the island introduced its fair share of challenges. The long walk from the ship to the pier, measuring over a half-mile, drew some criticism. Without adequate shaded walkways or seating, the trek in the sun was a tough ask for families with young children. However, golf carts were available for those needing mobility assistance. The pier location, half a mile off the coast due to a reef system, echoed similar logistical issues faced by nearby Princess Cays.
