Miley Cyrus, our beloved Hannah Montana, has scaled new heights yet again! At just 31 years old, she’s now the youngest person ever to be named a Disney Legend. In a heartfelt moment at the D23 fan expo in Anaheim, California, Miley accepted the honor to a standing ovation from an audience of 12,000 enthusiastic fans.

Reflecting on her journey, Miley said, “I stand here still proud to have been Hannah Montana. In so many ways, this award is dedicated to Hannah and all of her amazing loyal fans, and to everyone who has made my dream a reality. To quote the legend herself, ‘This is the life.’” From her early days on “Hannah Montana” in 2005 to becoming a Grammy-winning artist, Miley’s story is nothing short of inspirational.

This year’s Disney Legends ceremony celebrated 14 extraordinary talents. Alongside Miley were luminaries like Angela Bassett, Jamie Lee Curtis, James Cameron, Harrison Ford, and legendary composer John Williams. Disney CEO Bob Iger emphasized the importance of these awards, calling them “a celebration of talent, a recognition of achievement, and, above all, a sincere expression of our deep gratitude.”

Harrison Ford, described by Iger as a “true Disney Legend and a dear friend,” also grew emotional while accepting his award. “The stories are for you, about you, about us, our common humanity. To be able to work in that area is a privilege,” said Ford. His sentiments echo the collective heart of Disney’s mission to entertain and delight fans around the globe.
