Get ready to don your mouse ears or suit up as a Stormtrooper because D23 is here to bring the ultimate Disney fan experience this weekend in Anaheim. Often dubbed the Disney equivalent of Comic Con, this event at the Anaheim Convention Center is a must-visit for fans of all things Disney.
This three-day expo is a celebration of The Walt Disney Company’s storytelling genius and innovative spirit, offering something for every Disney enthusiast. From the magical realms of Marvel, to the galaxy far, far away of Star Wars, to the heartwarming tales of Pixar, D23 has it all.
Set to run from August 9 to August 11, the event will feature panels, exclusive merchandise booths, and tantalizing sneak peeks of Disney’s future projects. Over the years, D23 has been known as the platform for some of the most groundbreaking announcements in Disney movies and theme parks.
This Saturday, be sure to catch the “CBS News Los Angeles Live From D23” streaming at noon. KCAL entertainment correspondent Suzanne Marques and industry insider Grae Drake will be on the ground, mingling with fans and bringing all the excitement of D23 straight to your screens.
Founded in 2009, D23 is The Walt Disney Company’s official fan club. The name pays homage to the year Walt Disney founded the company in 1923. Membership in the D23 fan club is required to purchase tickets for this exclusive event. Members enjoy access to unique events and special discounts, with paid memberships offering even more perks.
This year’s D23 lineup promises to be spectacular, featuring celebrations for “30 Years of Toy Story,” “Disney Princess – The Concert,” “Making A Goofy Movie: The Road to Lake Destiny,” among many others.
