Disney is gearing up for Halloween in a uniquely heartwarming way! This year, the Mouse House is launching an initiative to sprinkle a bit of Disney magic on pediatric patients and their families. As part of Disney’s annual homage to Halloween, they’ve introduced a new charitable program that’s bound to bring smiles to hospitalized children nationwide.
As Patrick Sager from Disney shared with On The Red Carpet, “Nobody does Halloween like Disney. And as part of our commitment to children’s hospitals, Disney is launching a brand new program for this Halloween season. For each costume purchased at Disneystore.com, Disney will donate one costume to Starlight Children’s Foundation.”
With a goal of donating up to 20,000 costumes, Disney has ensured there’s something for everyone at the Disney Store. Whether you’re young or young at heart, the selection of costumes spans a wide variety of beloved characters. Additionally, Disney has thoughtfully included adaptive costumes, wheelchair ramps, covers, and sensory-friendly options to ensure that every child can participate in the fun of trick-or-treating.
Sager emphasized, “It’s important for Disney to provide these costumes to children in hospitals across the country. It really gives them a moment of Halloween joy when they might not be able to go out and trick-or-treat.”
If you want to be a part of this wonderful cause and snag some fantastic costumes for yourself, head on over to [Disney Store’s Halloween shop](https://www.disneystore.com/halloween-shop/).
