Disney Welcomes Influencers at the Exclusive “Power of Joy: Creator Summit”
Disney has recently enchanted 77 prominent Black influencers during a two-day event, “The Power of Joy: Creator Summit,” held at the iconic Disney Studio Lot in Burbank and the magical Disneyland Resort in Anaheim. This unique summit offered sneak peeks into upcoming Disney projects, engaging workshops, and opportunities to interact with key Disney leaders.
As Anastasia Ali, Vice President of Enterprise Commercial Inclusion Strategy at the Walt Disney Company, highlighted, “Black creators are the purveyors of pop culture, influencing consumers from around the globe.” This event was meticulously curated to celebrate and harness the influence of Black creators who are driving cultural conversations worldwide.
Participants were treated to an exclusive tour of the Walt Disney Animation Studios and surprised with special announcements, including tickets to the much-anticipated D23 event. Influencer Brandi Marie King expressed her excitement, saying, “All the Disney magic, it never stops. At 10am, I found out I’m going to D23, and we have the rest of the day filled with surprises!”
Jill Estorino, President and Managing Director of Disney Parks International, encapsulated the event’s significance: “This is the beginning of a relationship with some of the most important Black creators and influencers from around the country.” The summit established a platform for meaningful connections and upcoming collaborative ventures.
