“I’m going to Disney World!” The words champions have screamed out for decades as they celebrated the pinnacle of their sports careers. The words that have brought sports heroes to the Walt Disney World Resort. The words that brought World Baseball Champion MVP Ben Zobrist and his family to Magic Kingdom Park for a parade down Main Street, U.S.A.
As the nation celebrated the Chicago Cubs historic victory over the Cleveland Indians in a dramatic game 7, Zobrist, Addison Russell and Javier Baez from the World Champion Chicago Cubs made their way to Disney for a parade down Main Street, U.S.A. The players were joined by Mickey Mouse, Goofy and thousands of cheering fans. After the parade the players and their families enjoyed memory making time in the parks.
For Ben Zobrist, it was a chance to to yell out the answer to the question every young athlete dreams about, “You just won the World Championship, now what are you going to do?” An answer and a line that created endless magic for him and his family, “I’m going to Disney World!”
