Mt. Vesuvius By 4×4, Hike, Wine Tasting & Pompeii – Seize the day on this adventure-filled excursion! You’ll go off the beaten path of Vesuvius National Park aboard a 4×4 vehicle, arriving at 3,000 feet above sea level to begin your hike to the volcano’s enormous crater. Next you’ll visit a nearby winery, which produces the famous Lacryma Christi wine from Mt. Vesuvius. There you’ll sample wine, pasta, bruschetta, cheese and salami. Your day concludes with a guided tour of the excavated Roman city of Pompeii where you’ll explore the city’s baths, villas, theaters and wrestling grounds. What a way to “carpe diem!”

While sailing Italy’s most famous coastline, you’ll drop anchor in the town of Amalfi for free time and a guided tour through the cobblestoned streets of this charming “white village.” After the relaxing cruise, enjoy the beautiful drive to Sorrento for an authentic Italian lunch. You have the option of joining a walking tour or exploring the historical town on your own. A visit to the Correale Museum is a must to admire antique furniture, porcelain and Neapolitan paintings.
