Big news has arrived for fans of Disney’s Animal Kingdom! A dazzling new land, Tropical Americas, is set to debut soon. Revealed at Destination D23 in 2023, Tropical Americas will offer visitors an exciting blend of attractions, entertainment, dining, and shopping inspired by iconic Disney movies.

Replacing DinoLand, U.S.A., this 11-acre addition will immerse guests in the lush ambiance of Pueblo Esperanza, a charming village that reflects the same rich history and lived-in feel of the park’s other lands like Harambe and Anandapur. With the foundation already laid, the new land will include beautiful elements like a hacienda straight out of the beloved “Encanto,” a central fountain, and a unique carousel featuring animals from favorite Disney stories.

Two standout attractions will headline Tropical Americas: an “Encanto”-themed ride that brings the magical Casita to life and a thrilling new Indiana Jones ride set in an intricately designed Maya temple. The Encanto ride will feature dazzling omnimover-style dark ride mechanics reminiscent of Hong Kong Disneyland’s Mystic Manor, while Indiana Jones fans can expect an adventure filled with mythical creatures and, undoubtedly, snakes!

Dining in Tropical Americas will be nothing short of an experience in itself. A large hacienda will host the park’s biggest quick-service restaurant right in the heart of Pueblo Esperanza, offering delightful culinary treats that echo the rich flavors of Latin America.

For those anticipating some unique souvenirs, rest assured that the new land will feature at least one themed shop where you can find exclusive merchandise to remember your adventures. With construction well underway, the much-anticipated grand opening is scheduled for 2027, with phased unveilings expected as different sections are completed.
