Disneyland Hotel’s newest enchantment, the Broken Spell Lounge, is now casting its spell on guests with a magical Sleeping Beauty-themed makeover. Located in the former Steakhouse 55 space within the hotel lobby, this romantic retreat is perfect for those dreaming of trading a true love’s kiss with their own Princess Aurora or Prince Phillip. With its grand opening on October 22, the lounge promises an enchanted escape steeped in Disney’s timeless charm.

The interior of the Broken Spell Lounge mirrors the enchanted forest from Disney’s 1959 classic, “Sleeping Beauty.” Adorned by the creative handiwork of the fairies Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather, the decor sets a captivating stage for a magical evening. From 4 p.m. to midnight daily, visitors can indulge in an array of culinary delights, including dry-rub chicken wings, New York Strip steak frites, and molten chocolate cake, with menu prices ranging from $15 to $42.

Steakhouse 55, which infused an old Hollywood allure with sophisticated dining, closed its doors permanently in 2021 amidst the pandemic. In its quest to reimagine the space, Disney transformed the area into a versatile lounge before unveiling it as the spellbinding Broken Spell Lounge we see today.

Beverage aficionados will find joy in the lounge’s selection of California and French wines, craft beers, specialty cocktails, and whiskey flights to suit every palette. Whether it’s a nightcap or a full meal, the Broken Spell Lounge offers a unique experience designed to weave a bit more magic into every Disneyland visit.

In additional exciting dining news, Michelin-star chef Joe Isidori is set to bring new steakhouse and barbecue concepts to Downtown Disney, taking over the space formerly occupied by Tortilla Jo’s. This development is just part of a series of updates aiming to elevate the dining experience across the Disneyland Resort.
