Disneyland Reveals Stunning runDisney Medals for 2025 Half Marathon Weekend
Get ready to lace up your running shoes! The Disney Parks Blog has given us a first glance at the finisher medals for the highly anticipated 2025 Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend, promising a spectacular array of collectibles for all participants.
The action-packed weekend, set to take place from January 30 to February 2, 2025, includes a wide range of activities such as yoga, four exhilarating races—including a Star Wars-themed course—two special challenges, and scenic routes through both Disneyland parks and the neighboring Anaheim area. Despite a minor hiccup with registration originally set for June 18, eager runners can now sign up starting July 2.
Among the standout medals is the Disneyland 5K medal, featuring the ever-charming Groot from the Marvel Universe. Participants will have to “rocket” through the 3.1-mile course to claim this intergalactic award. Meanwhile, the Disneyland 10K medal celebrates the galaxy far, far away with a design highlighting Ahsoka Tano and her iconic lightsabers, rewarding those who complete the 6.2-mile journey.
Half-marathon runners can look forward to earning a striking medal adorned with Safari Mickey Mouse on a compass-themed gold medallion, commemorating their completion of the 13.1-mile trek. For those taking on an extra challenge, the Dumbo Double Dare awaits. This whimsical medal, featuring Dumbo in vibrant blue, orange, and yellow hues, is awarded to those brave enough to finish both the 10K and the Half Marathon.
Even the littlest runners aren’t left out. The runDisney Kids Races medal showcases Dug from Disney and Pixar’s “Up,” adding a playful touch in cheerful colors of blue, red, orange, and yellow, making it a treasured keepsake for young participants.
