The festive season is fast approaching, and for Tokyo Disney Resort, this year’s celebration will be bittersweet. Tokyo Disney Resort has confirmed that 2024 will be the final year for its cherished Christmas parade, “Disney Christmas Stories,” which has been delighting guests since 2015.
In the world of theme parks, the holiday season begins early. Walt Disney World Resort kicks off on November 8, while Disneyland Resort starts on November 15. Meanwhile, Disneyland Paris begins its celebrations on November 9, with both Hong Kong Disneyland and Tokyo Disney Resort starting on November 15. Shanghai Disneyland rounds out the list, beginning its festivities on November 10.
Tokyo Disneyland will boast many beloved traditions, including the iconic 15-meter-tall Christmas tree in the World Bazaar, holiday classics performed by the Tokyo Disneyland Band, and the return of “Country Bear Theatre Jingle Bell Jamboree.” Additionally, guests can look forward to a seasonal transformation of the Haunted Mansion into Haunted Mansion Holiday Nightmare, featuring characters from “The Nightmare Before Christmas.” The Christmas version of the Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade Dreamlights is also highly anticipated.
Tokyo DisneySea joins in on the festivities with the daily show, Disney Christmas Greetings, which features beloved characters like Mickey Mouse, Duffy, and Santa Claus. The park also lights up with festive music from the Tokyo DisneySea Maritime Band and a Duffy-themed Christmas tree in Cape Cod.
For those wanting to catch a final glimpse of “Disney Christmas Stories,” Tokyo Disney Resort offers Disney Premier Access for premium viewing spots at 2,500 yen per person. This final bow promises to provide an emotional closure to a beloved holiday tradition.
