With the magic of the holiday season soon to be in full swing, Disneyland Resort has unwrapped a special lineup of festive experiences and returning traditions sure to enchant visitors of all ages. Running from November 15, 2024, through January 6, 2025, this year’s holiday festivities promise to be bigger and brighter than ever before.
Starting with new holiday experiences, guests can look forward to meeting Santa Claus in Fantasyland Theatre where he’ll share the stage with cookie decorating, crafts, and storytelling. Santa will also make photo-op stops at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail and the majestic hotels of Disneyland Resort until Christmas Eve. Adding a sprinkle of holiday cheer, Mickey and Minnie will be debuting brand-new festive outfits, while other Disney characters will don their holiday best.
One of the new activities this year is Chip and Dale’s Ornament Trail in the Downtown Disney District, where guests can purchase a map to hunt for hidden ornaments. Those who complete the trail can redeem their maps for a special holiday keepsake, making the perfect memento of a magical day. Additionally, new holiday dining experiences like “Goofy’s Kitchen Celebrates the Holidays!” and Mickey’s Holiday Pajama Party at Storytellers Cafe promise festive feasts and merry moments.
Returning holiday traditions such as the beautiful decorations across the resort, the iconic “Believe…In Holiday Magic” fireworks show, and the “it’s a small world” Holiday attraction overlay ensure that classic Disney magic is felt throughout. Don’t miss the musical delight of “World of Color – Season of Light” at Disney California Adventure, which pairs water fountains with festive songs to create a mesmerizing nighttime spectacle.
Also making a comeback is the Disney Festival of Holidays and ¡Viva Navidad! at Disney California Adventure, celebrating global traditions with food, music, and dance. This is a wonderful opportunity to engage with cultures from around the world in a true Disney experience.
Capping off the holiday fun, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will open at Disneyland Park on November 15, 2024. Get ready for a musical voyage through the bayou with Princess Tiana that promises to be an unforgettable adventure!
