Two guests at Disneyland Resort recently experienced a frightening ordeal after dining at Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe. According to their account, the visitors ordered a chocolate mousse brownie shortly before Disneyland Park closed. Hours later, they found themselves suffering from severe symptoms of food poisoning.

The guests shared their troubling experience on Reddit, detailing a synchronized onset of symptoms, including a severe urge to vomit and stomach issues, which eventually necessitated a hospital visit. “Luckily, we had just gotten home when it hit,” one guest wrote. “Aside from continued symptoms, the worst part was that it came right after a full Disney day. What normally would have been a restful night was the opposite.”

The Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe, known for its inviting vintage design and delectable offerings, became the center of this unexpected incident. Following their harrowing experience, the guests reported the matter to Disneyland Resort Guest Services and the health department, although no responses or details of emergency treatment were disclosed.

It’s important to note that foodborne illnesses can result from various sources, with contamination being a common culprit. Park visitors should maintain good hygiene practices, such as frequent hand washing, to mitigate the risk of such illnesses.
