The excitement buzzed through the air at Disney’s recent D23 convention in Anaheim, where fans were treated to thrilling news: Avengers Campus at Disneyland Resort is expanding with two new epic attractions. That’s right, Marvel enthusiasts, get ready for Avengers: Infinity Defense and the Stark Flight Lab, both featuring Robert Downey Jr. reprising his iconic role as Iron Man!

Avengers: Infinity Defense promises a heart-pounding, multi-world adventure experience where riders join the Avengers in a fight against King Thanos, an imposing multiverse variant of the Mad Titan. Scott Trowbridge, Disney Portfolio Executive Creative Director, teased that global technology allowing Avengers to jump between worlds has vanished, and King Thanos is using it to create chaos across multiple universes. Visitors will travel to unforgettable locations like Asgard, Wakanda, and New York City, encountering heroes such as Iron Man, Hulk, Black Panther, and Ant-Man as they battle Thanos’ relentless legion of Outriders.

Simultaneously, the Stark Flight Lab will immerse guests in Tony Stark’s robotics lab for a high-flying simulated adventure, ensuring even more thrills for visitors to Avengers Campus. This expansion, set to commence construction in 2025, doubles the size of the existing six-acre marvel-themed land at Disney California Adventure Park. The expansion follows the popular rides Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! and WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure, which have delighted visitors since 2021.

Not stopping there, Disney California Adventure Park also announced a new attraction based on the visually stunning Avatar: The Way of Water and the first-ever ride themed after Pixar’s emotional journey, Coco. This wave of innovations solidifies Disney’s commitment to bringing fresh experiences to its loyal visitors.

Josh D’Amaro, Disney Experiences Chairman, emphasized the company’s dedication to ambitious growth and storytelling, thrilling D23 attendees with the promise of more exceptional projects underway, including Disney Villains Land at Magic Kingdom Park in Florida and new Indiana Jones and Encanto attractions at Animal Kingdom.

We can’t wait to see these incredible expansions come to life. Let us know in the comments what you think about the new attractions and which one you’re most excited for! Don’t forget to share your thoughts and get this conversation going.
