Exciting news coming from Disney’s D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, held in sunny Anaheim, California, where Disney officials have just unveiled a treasure trove of enchanting new attractions heading to both Disney World and Disneyland parks. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s brewing!
Over in Magic Kingdom, Disney World fans are in for a treat with the new Villains-themed land. Featuring iconic baddies from classic Disney films, this darkly delightful addition promises to be as thrilling as the chills it sends down your spine. “Be prepared, you poor unfortunate souls. It’s going to be a fearless new vision for what a Disney experience can be,” teased Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro.
Next, Frontierland revs up with “Cars”-inspired attractions—one a rally race through scenic mountains, and another designed with kids in mind. The magic doesn’t stop there; Disney’s Hollywood Studios is getting a monstrous makeover featuring a “Monsters, Inc.” land complete with a state-of-the-art suspended roller coaster. Plus, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will receive fresh updates with new stories involving Mando and Grogu in the “Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run” attraction.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom will welcome two blockbuster additions: a mysterious “Indiana Jones” attraction and an adventure-filled “Encanto” experience. Guests can explore a newly-discovered Mayan temple with Indy or join Antonio from “Encanto” on a rainforest journey. Meanwhile, fans of “Zootopia” can look forward to “Zootopia: Better Zoogether!” a vibrant show opening next winter. EPCOT joins the lineup with its reimagined “Test Track” set to open in 2025.
Disneyland isn’t left out of the excitement! A “Coco” attraction will transport guests to the Land of the Dead via a thrilling musical adventure, while an entire “Avatar” land will bring the magic of Pandora to life, inspired by “Avatar: The Way of Water’s” lush environment. Avengers Campus at Disneyland will double in size, introducing two new attractions where fans can face King Thanos firsthand and explore new tech with Tony Stark himself. Adding a touch of nostalgia, a tribute to Walt Disney in the form of the first audio-animatronic based on the man behind the magic will debut at Disneyland’s Main Street Opera in 2025.
