Excitement is in the air as Disney prepares to honor 14 incredible artists who have helped shape the magic we all know and love. This star-studded roster includes iconic figures like Harrison Ford, Angela Bassett, and Miley Cyrus, each of whom has made a “significant impact” on Disney’s rich legacy.

These new Disney Legends will be celebrated during an exclusive ceremony at The Honda Center in Anaheim, California, part of the highly anticipated D23 fan convention. Ryan Seacrest will host the evening, adding his signature charm to the festivities.

Legendary director James Cameron, music maestro John Williams, and beloved actress Jamie Lee Curtis are among those set to be honored. Ford, who has been a staple in Disney’s “Star Wars” and “Indiana Jones” franchises, will be receiving this accolade over 20 years after his induction into the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The venerable actor is also set to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s upcoming film, “Captain America: Brave New World,” bringing even more excitement to his storied career.

Angela Bassett, celebrated for her roles in “Black Panther” and its sequel, “Wakanda Forever,” is another highlight of the evening. Bassett’s contributions extend beyond the silver screen as she captivates audiences on the hit ABC series “9-1-1.”

Miley Cyrus, the youngest honoree this year, began her journey with Disney Channel’s “Hannah Montana” back in 2006. She has since rocketed to fame, winning her first Grammy Award in February and continuing to inspire fans with her music.

Also being honored are behind-the-scenes visionaries such as Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood, animator Mark Henn, late comics artist Steve Ditko, puppeteer and filmmaker Frank Oz, longtime Disney manager Martha Blanding, and former Disney Imagineer Joe Rohde. These individuals have each played pivotal roles in crafting the Disney magic we cherish.

Disney Legends join an elite group of previous honorees, including Elton John, Steve Jobs, Betty White, and Robert Downey Jr. With more than 300 members since the program began in 1987, the legacy continues to grow, making us all eager to see who will be inducted next.
