At the spectacular D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro unveiled a breathtaking array of future projects, captivating Disney enthusiasts from around the globe. Highlighting these revelations was the announcement of four new cruise ships set to join the Disney fleet from 2027 to 2031, expanding the magic of Disney Cruise Line.

D’Amaro also revealed six new immersive lands based on beloved franchises, including new attractions themed to “Monsters, Inc.,” “Cars,” “Indiana Jones,” “Encanto,” “Avatar,” “The Lion King,” and Disney Villains. A standout is the first-ever ride-through attraction inspired by “Coco” at Disney California Adventure, inviting guests to journey with Miguel through the vibrant Land of the Dead.

The evening was accentuated by star-studded performances from Meghan Trainor, Shaboozey, and Rita Ora, each tied to specific announcements—like the “Cars”-themed attraction in Magic Kingdom and a new land dedicated to Disney Villains, already in progress at Walt Disney World Resort.

One of the most exciting reveals was the introduction of the first-ever Audio-Animatronics figure of Walt Disney himself, to premiere in the “Walt Disney – A Magical Life” show at Disneyland’s Main Street Opera House. Additionally, Disney’s collaboration with Epic Games promises a groundbreaking digital experience, bringing iconic Disney characters to the dynamic universe of Fortnite.

Earlier in the day, fans at the Anaheim Convention Center enjoyed an array of announcements. Highlights included “The Simpsons” celebrating its 35th season on Disney+, and Marvel Animation showcasing upcoming series such as “What If…?” and “X-Men ’97.” The panel for “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” also introduced new cast members and special guest appearances, promising an exciting season based on “The Sea of Monsters.”
