Tonight, the Anaheim Convention Center was buzzing with excitement as night one of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event captivated audiences with a flood of spectacular reveals and thrilling performances. From beloved franchises taking on new adventures to exclusive first looks, Disney showcased why it continues to reign supreme in storytelling and entertainment.
Kicking off the evening, CEO Bob Iger took the stage, emphasizing Disney’s century-long bond with fans rooted in storytelling and innovation. Hosted by the effervescent Yvette Nicole Brown, the event saw Disney’s top creative minds like Pixar’s Pete Docter and Marvel’s Kevin Feige sharing the stage to introduce the exciting slate of upcoming projects.
Disney Animation Studios brought the house down with the return of fan-favorites. Auli‘i Cravalho delighted the crowd with a rousing performance to announce “Moana 2,” hitting theaters this November. Audiences also got a sneak peek at “Zootopia 2,” slated for a 2025 release, and a tantalizing tease of “Frozen 3,” expected in 2027. James Cameron’s appearance, joined by “Avatar” stars, added fire to the night as they unveiled “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” due December 2025.

Broadway’s Disney musicals marked their 30th anniversary with dazzling performances and news of new productions, including “The Greatest Showman” stage adaptation and a filmed version of “Frozen” for Disney+. Lucasfilm teased new seasons and features from the “Star Wars” universe, including “Skeleton Crew” and “Andor” Season 2.
