Exciting updates are here for Disney and Marvel fans! Disney has just unveiled an updated theatrical release schedule, featuring highly anticipated films from its Marvel, Pixar, and Disney Animation studios. Among the most notable is the dark and mysterious “Blade,” which remains slated for November 7, 2025. This film, however, is still in the scripting phase, lacks a director, and its star, Mahershala Ali, is currently busy with the latest “Jurassic World” movie.

In a surprising move, Disney has dropped the untitled July 24, 2026 release date for a Marvel movie, leaving the only confirmed Marvel film for that year as “Avengers: Doomsday.” If “Blade” doesn’t meet its 2025 debut, 2026 might feature only one Marvel movie. Conversely, if it gets postponed, “Blade” could join the schedule, making a total of two Marvel releases that year. Moving forward to 2027, Marvel fans can look forward to three movies, with “Avengers: Secret Wars” kicking off that year, followed by two untitled Marvel films.

Speculation is rife about what these untitled Marvel movies could be. Possibilities include “Armor Wars,” a sequel to “Shang-Chi,” and perhaps even an X-Men movie. Additionally, sources suggest that the fourth installment of Sony’s Spider-Man series might find its place in the mix, possibly claiming that now-vacant July 24, 2026 slot.

Not to be outdone, Lucasfilm has set the stage for “The Mandalorian & Grogu” to premiere on May 22, 2026, and two untitled Star Wars projects are also set: one on December 18, 2026, likely featuring Daisy Ridley’s return, and another on December 17, 2027, possibly helmed by Dave Filoni.

Here’s a peek at the updated MCU release schedule:
– “CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW WORLD” on 2/14/25
– “THUNDERBOLTS*” on 5/2/25
– “THE FANTASTIC FOUR: FIRST STEPS” on 7/25/25
– “BLADE” on 11/7/25
– “AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY” on 5/1/26
– “AVENGERS: SECRET WARS” on 5/7/27

Disney has not only changed Marvel dates but also shuffled several other Disney, Pixar, and Disney Animation releases over the next few years, ensuring there’s always something magical to look forward to.
