Exciting news for sports enthusiasts! The long-anticipated streaming service, Venu Sports—a collaborative effort between Walt Disney Co., Warner Bros. Discovery, and Fox Corp.—has announced its subscription price. Set to launch this fall, fans can expect access to a variety of leagues including the NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB, and more for $42.99 a month, with a seven-day free trial to kick things off.

Venu Sports aims to capture the attention of younger viewers who are increasingly moving away from traditional pay-TV subscriptions. This initiative, introduced back in February, promises to be a dynamic hub for live sports action, ensuring fans never miss a game.

Lachlan Murdoch, Chair of Fox Corp., highlighted the sizable market of 60 million U.S. households that have distanced themselves from cable or satellite TV. By joining forces, Disney, Warner, and Fox seek to rival major tech companies that are progressively investing in live sports streaming—a space where Netflix and Amazon Prime Video have recently made significant strides.

Leading this ambitious venture is Pete Distad, the seasoned executive previously associated with Apple and Hulu. Under his leadership, Venu Sports is poised to become the go-to platform for sports aficionados looking for top-tier, live sports content.
