Disneyland Resort has announced virtual auditions for Mirabel vocalists for a thrilling new “Encanto” show set to debut at Disney California Adventure. Disney Live Entertainment is on the lookout for talented individuals who embody the spirit and voice of Mirabel Madrigal.
The casting call specifies a contemporary musical theatre mezzo-soprano who speaks fluent Spanish and closely resembles the beloved film character. Aspiring Mirabels should be between 5’2″ and 5’5″ and possess the charm and energy that Mirabel exudes. Although Disney has not officially disclosed details about the new entertainment offering, the audition timeline hints at a possibly festive, holiday-themed spectacle.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old, authorized to work in the United States, and comply with Disney’s grooming and employment guidelines. Additionally, candidates should be members of the American Guild of Variety Artists (AGVA) or willing to join if selected. The audition process includes a two-step submission, with virtual entries due by August 11, 2024, and in-person callbacks scheduled from August 12 to 16, 2024.
