The “Heartbeat of Freedom” Fireworks tag also made a triumphant return, lighting up the sky following the “Luminous: The Symphony Us” show. Voices of Liberty’s a cappella group rounded off the evening with patriotic tunes in the Pavilion rotunda.
Meanwhile, at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, a festive golf cart parade delighted onlookers with Disney-themed and patriotic decorations. As guests celebrated Independence Day, they also got a first glimpse at the season’s spooky attire, including the “My Boo” T-shirt featuring a ghostly mouse. New resort-specific merchandise was also spotted at Johari Treasures in Animal Kingdom Lodge, keeping collectors on their toes for fresh finds.
Over on the West Coast, Disneyland Resort also launched its Halloween merchandise lineup, featuring themed T-shirts and a delightful new Princess Tiana Dooney & Bourke collection, celebrating the grand opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Halloween spirit was truly in the air, both at Disneyland and Downtown Disney District.
International Disney news was abuzz with Tokyo Disney Resort’s announcement of its upcoming “Magic in the Air” drone show. Set to illuminate multiple fireworks festivals across Japan this summer, it’s a nod to the forthcoming Fantasy Springs attraction and promises a mesmerizing spectacle for Disney fans and locals alike.
Finally, the Walt Disney Company unveiled news that collectors and Disney historians will adore: the new book “Walt Disney Treasures: Personal Art and Artifacts from The Walt Disney Family Museum” is set for release on October 1, 2024. Celebrating 15 years of the museum’s dedication to preserving Walt Disney’s legacy, this book is a treasure trove of iconic memorabilia and notable artifacts.
