His aim with the film is to connect with teenagers and make their journey through puberty just a bit easier. He reflected, “A lot of it is me trying to connect to myself as a teenager and all the changes that helped me get through those times.”

The film is enjoying an exclusive theatrical run for at least 100 days, so Disney+ enthusiasts might have to wait until late September for it to stream. Unfortunately for Netflix fans, this Disney gem is unlikely to be available there, as its streaming home will undoubtedly be Disney+.
