The experience, Rita exclaimed, was more about precious family time than the end result: “I truly cherished how we all worked together to bring this rubber duck to life.”
The magic continued at Disneyland Resort with the annual rubber duck races in the iconic waters of “it’s a small world.” Cast members showcased their flair by decorating ducks based on themes such as “Most Disney Themed” and “Most Like Donald Duck.” Ashley, a creative superstar, designed her ducks as Violet from The Incredibles and Hei Hei from Moana. “While the parks are so far apart, it’s a unique experience to have an event like the Duck Races to keep us connected on a global scale,” she beamed. Teddo’s duck, capturing the quintessential Donald look, took home the “Most Like Donald Duck” award. Teddo declared himself Donald’s #1 Fan, reveling in the shared love for the character across the globe.
Over at Disneyland Paris, cast members also dove into the festive spirit with a rubber duck decorating event. Quentin Sempol from the Paris team crafted a homage to “The Jungle Book Jive” street show, a beloved performance from the park. “When I found out about this year’s theme, I quickly thought of honoring the ‘Jungle Book Jive’ show. It was very inspiring and made an impact on so many people!” Quentin shared enthusiastically.
This quacking global endeavor not only brought joy to Disney cast and guests alike but also contributed to a great cause. At Disneyland Resort and Disneyland Paris, the proceeds from the sales of rubber ducks went to support local nonprofits, making the celebrations even more meaningful.
